More pesticide retailers have broken the law in 2020 than the year before

Checks at pesticide dealers showed an increase in violations last year. Over a third of the dealers had violated the law.

In 2020, the Danish Environmental Protection Agency's Chemicals Inspectorate carried out inspections at 94 retailers of pesticides, and the inspection showed a larger increase in violations.

The Swedish Chemicals Agency supervised 94 dealers and importers, of which 17 were intermediaries (importers, distributors and packers), 10 dealers of highly toxic pesticides, 23 dealers of professional pesticides (retailers) and 44 dealers of non-professional pesticides (including construction markets and nurseries).
