On May 20, 2022, the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) provided notice that it proposes to amend the California Code of Regulations, title 22, division 4.5, chapter 55, section 69511 and adopt section 69511.7. This proposed regulation pertains to identification of a Priority Product under the Safer Consumer Products (SCP) regulations, approved by the Office of Administrative Law (OAL) and filed with the Secretary of State on August 28, 2013 (effective date: October 1, 2013; OAL Regulatory Action Number: 2013-0718-03).
The written comment period, originally set to close on July 5, 2022, is extended to July 20, 2022. Any interested person(s) or their authorized representative(s) may submit written comments relevant to the proposed regulatory action to DTSC in either electronic or hard copy format. DTSC will only consider comments received or postmarked on or before July 20, 2022.
