Title: Commission Delegated Decision (EU) 2019/1597 of 3 May 2019 supplementing Directive 2008/98/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards a common methodology and minimum quality requirements for the uniform measurement of levels of food waste (Text with EEA relevance.)
Summary: The common EU methodology to measure food waste is part of the EU action plan for the circular economy (COM(2015) 614 final), in support of the Sustainable Development Goal target on food waste (SDG 12.3). The methodology will allow for a robust quantification of food waste, giving results that can be compared over time and between Member States. The methodology will describe the data to be collected; it may also include requirements on the minimum quality of reported data.
