China organizes an exchange meeting on policy negotiations on important topics at the 15th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity
On August 30, China and Indonesia co-hosted a policy exchange meeting on important negotiation issues at the fifteenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP15). Zhao Yingmin, head of the Chinese delegation, representative of the COP15 presidency, and vice minister of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, attended and delivered a speech.
As the presidency of COP15, China has spared no effort in promoting the global biodiversity conservation process, coordinating the positions of all parties, and striving to achieve an ambitious and pragmatically balanced "post-2020 global biodiversity framework". China calls on all parties concerned to fully demonstrate flexibility, continue the momentum of the first phase of COP15, fulfill the commitments of the Kunming Declaration, and provide impetus for the success of the second phase of COP15.CONTINUE READING ON: www.mee.gov.cn
