NGOs urge more protective EDC strategy in EU
On March 5, 2019, the Council of the European Union debates the EU strategy on endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs), published by the European Commission (EC) in November 2018. Ahead of this meeting, the EDC-free Europe, a coalition of over 70 health and environment groups across Europe, wrote an open letter urging the “EU Environment Minsters . . . to call on the EU Commission to develop specific proposals for how the European Union can systematically reduce human and environmental exposures” to EDCs.
