The online briefings will provide an overview of the issues that will be considered at the forthcoming meetings of the Chemical Review Committee (CRC) and the POPs Review Committee (POPRC), to be held, respectively, on 11-14 September 2018 and 17-21 September 2018, in Rome, Italy.

Background - The fourteenth meeting of the CRC (CRC-14) of the Rotterdam Convention will be held from 11 to 14 September 2018 at the FAO headquarters in Rome, Italy. At this meeting, the Committee will consider, among others, the draft decision guidance documents for acetochlor, hexabromocyclododecane and phorate, developed by intersessional drafting groups. Additionally, the Committee will review the notifications of final regulatory action for hexabromocyclodecane , methyl-parathion and perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), its salts and PFOA related compounds.
