Until the last week of March 2020, the Ministry of Health was issuing export licenses for shipments of drugs under the condition that the producing company was disposing of a stock of raw materials sufficient to satisfy the producer’s share in the local market for three months. Since then, the Ministry requires a stock for six months. This put pressure on companies to increase their stocks and to endure fines due to delayed exports. It seems that this condition is a temporary measure in response to covid-19 crisis
