The aim of this project was to develop and validate one or two analytical test method (s) for free primary aromatic amines in tattoo and PMU inks in relation to the restriction dossier on chemicals in tattoo and PMU inks, currently under evaluation of the European Chemical Agency (ECHA).

The test method (s) shall comply with the requirements for test methods of the Forum for Exchange of Information on Enforcement (Forum), with the aim of being listed in the Compendium of analytical methods, which content recommend-ed analytical methods by the Forum to check compliance with REACH XVII restrictions (ECHA 2016b).
