On April 14, 2021, the Collective Normative Ruling No. 1/2021 ("CNR No. 1/2021") of the Ministry of the Environment, together with the Environmental Federal Agency ("IBAMA") and the Chico Mendes Institute, was published.
The majority of changes aimed to bring more clarity to the legislative text, avoiding ambiguities that were present on the former CNR, and further details of the environmental administrative procedure, pointing out the activities to be fulfilled by the competent authorities.
