ANSES published its risk assessment of chemicals found in baby diapers.
From tests carried out on disposable diapers and their use, the Agency's expertise has shown that health thresholds are exceeded for several chemical substances. Given the risks that these substances may pose to the health of babies,
ANSES recommends eliminating them or minimizing their presence in disposable diapers. The Agency also recommends strengthening the control of these substances in the layers placed on the market. Finally, ANSES stresses the need for a more restrictive regulatory framework governing these products.
