Children's cosmetics regulations in China are becoming increasingly strict. Here a list of important dates to keep in mind:

(*) 2021-08-06: "Supervision and management of cosmetics production" was released

(*) 2021-10-08: "supervision and management of children's cosmetics regulations" was officially released.

(*) 2021-12-01: NMPA published children's cosmetic mark "Little Golden Shield" (see cover picture)

(*) 2022-01-01: except for labelling, other provisions on children's cosmetics in "supervision and management of children's cosmetics regulations" came into force, including children's toothpaste.

(*) From 2022-05-01: newly produced children's cosmetics must be labeled in accordance with the "supervision and management of children's cosmetics regulations"

(*) From 2022-05-01: the application for registration or filing of children's cosmetics, must be marked "small gold shield".

(*) Until 2023-05-01: all the children's cosmetics, including in storage or newly produced，the labels of these products must be updated as the rules in "supervision and management of children's cosmetics regulations".

(*) Until 2023-05-01: produced or imported children's cosmetics, must all be marked "small gold shield".

Those newly released regulations also changed the requirements of substance limits, test methods, and supervision.
