This document provides a summary of the Government’s proposals to reduce the impact of plastic on our environment.
The first proposal is to phase out the following types of hard to recycle plastic:
(*) Some polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and polystyrene packaging
(*) All oxo-degradable plastic products
The second proposal is to phase-out seven types of single-use plastic items.
