Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety | Timmermans on the outcome of COP26 and impact on EU climate policies | 29 November 2021

Executive Vice-President Frans Timmermans will exchange with members of the ENVI committee on Monday 29 November between 15:30 and 16:45.

He will brief Members on the outcome of the COP26 climate conference, on the progress made, but also on the shortcomings, on the path to limiting global warming to 1.5°C and on the set of resilience, mitigation and adaptation decisions agreed in Glasgow, including on finance. Members will also exchange on the implications the COP26 will have on EU climate policies and notably on the climate package on which ENVI is currently working on.
