On June 24, 2024, the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) announced a proposed rulemaking to adopt a Proposition 65 No Significant Risk Level (NSRL) for titanium dioxide (airborne, unbound particles of respirable size) by amending Title 27, California Code of Regulations, section 25705(c)(2).
Public comments on this proposed rulemaking were initially invited from May 10, 2024, to July 1, 2024. At the request of the Personal Care Products Council and the American Chemistry Council, OEHHA has extended the public comment period to ensure ample opportunity for stakeholder input. The revised deadline for public comments is now July 1, 2024.
