As of 1 January 2020, Thailand has banned the importation, production and sale of new cosmetic products containing plastic microbeads. Cosmetics which are already placed on the market are permitted to be sold until 28 June 2020. Said change has been reflected in the chapter on Prohibited Imports in this overview.
