On February 16, 2018, the Brazilian Environmental Agency (“IBAMA”) published Ordinance No. 5/2018 ("Ordinance"), regulating potentially polluting activities that use substances subject to control and elimination according to the Montreal Protocol.
The Ordinance provides obligations to producer, importer, exporter, transporter, seller and user of controlled substances, as well as to the companies that recycle or incinerate its waste.
