The Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety (SCCS) held an audio meeting of its Working Group (WG) on Nanomaterials in Cosmetic Products on 18 September 2023. Discussions included potential future mandates by DG GROW on nanomaterials in cosmetics, focusing on Hydroxyapatite IV (nano), new coatings for TiO2 as UV filters (nano), and MicroSilver.
The WG is working on a final opinion on FULLERENES, addressing comments received during the commenting period. The final opinion and responses to comments will be presented at the SCCS plenary in October.
The date for the next meeting in November or December is pending confirmation.
