The EU’s ‘farm to fork’ strategy aims to reduce dependency on chemical plant protection products, including by enabling biological alternatives (such as microbial plant protection products) to be sold in the EU.
To update the current rules for this purpose, this initiative will adapt the current data requirements (in part B of the Annex to Regulation 284/2013) to accommodate the characteristics of the microorganisms in these products, as they are different to those of chemical active substances.
