Denmark | Consumers buy illegal pesticides and biocides online

Since the beginning of the year, the Danish Customs Authority has detained 154 illegal pesticides for the Danish Environmental Protection Agency's Chemicals Inspection. Of these, 59 are pesticides and 95 are biocides, which are used as control agents against, among other things, weeds and pests.

For pesticides, this primarily concerns Roundup, Weed Killer and similar weed killers. Since July 1, 2020, it has been prohibited for private individuals to buy concentrated Roundup without authorization. But after the ban came into force, there has been an increase in attempts by private individuals to import the illegal, foreign pesticides.
