Mexico | Procedure to monitor and supervise compliance with Mexican Official Standards on petroleum, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and natural gas

The notified procedure applies to natural and legal persons holding permits granted under the Law on Hydrocarbons and the Regulations on Activities Referred to in Title 3 of the Law on Hydrocarbons that authorize them to conduct the following activities: 1. Transportation of LPG other than by pipeline; 2. Distribution of LPG; 3. Sale of LPG to the public; 4. Distribution of natural gas; 5. Sale of natural gas; 6. Distribution of petroleum products; 7. Sale of petroleum products to the public. Regarding verification activities and the preparation of relevant technical reports, the notified procedure applies to verification units that have been legally accredited and approved to oversee and monitor compliance with the Mexican Official Standards listed under point 2 of the procedure.
