On March 17th, 2023, a call for evidence was issued related to the scientific evaluation of exposure limits at the workplace for two substances: 1,3-Butadiene and 4,4-Isopropylidenediphenol (Bisphenol A). 

1,3-Butadiene  is used in the production of synthetic rubber and plastic products, as well as in the manufacture of other chemicals.

Bisphenol A, also known as BPA, is used in the production of certain types of plastics and resins.

The call for evidence will run until June 15th, 2023. The purpose of the call for evidence is to gather information related to the potential risks associated with exposure to these substances in the workplace, and to help inform the development of exposure limits to protect workers' health and safety
