ICCA and UN Environment running joint projects

As part of its commitment to SAICM (Strategic Approach to International Chemicals Management), ICCA (the International Council of Chemical Associations) and UN Environment signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance sound chemicals management and developing effective chemical management around the world. ICCA, its member associations and member companies are currently engaged in several collaborative projects with UN Environment.

Ongoing projects cover such issues as plastics waste management; Responsible Care; chemicals management; Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); implementation of the Globally Harmonised System for the Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS) (see above) and Circular Economy, ... These joint projects, through SAICM, will enable ICCA and all relevant stakeholders to contribute to building a stronger foundation for the sound management of chemicals and waste.
