Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection | Toy Safety Directive - Implementation report

On 27 October, the IMCO committee will consider the compromise amendments to Mr Brando Benifei’s (S&D) draft implementation report on the Toy Safety Directive.

Building on his draft report and on the amendments tabled by the Members, the compromise amendments will focus on issues, such as the presence of chemicals, the new technologies embedded in toys, the placing on the market through online platforms, the enhancement of market surveillance, with the view to find an agreement on the report. The vote in IMCO is planned for 1 December 2021.
