What is the evidence for EU chemicals legislation promoting substitution of hazardous substances? The recent fitness check of chemicals legislation (excluding REACH) found that the use of hazardous substances remain 'relatively unchanged' and that statistics do not allow to directly link changes in the share of chemicals hazardous to health and the environment to EU intervention.
However, a new report from Danish EPA adds important information to this conclusion.
