IARC, Association of European Cancer Leagues, and Cancer Society of Finland host online conference on the European Code Against Cancer

Scientists from the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), the Association of European Cancer Leagues, and the Cancer Society of Finland hosted an online conference on 28–29 April to discuss cancer prevention and the European Code Against Cancer.

More than 80 participants discussed methods to modernize and ensure sustainable dissemination of the European Code Against Cancer, with a particular focus on the scope and the target audiences. These discussions will inform a road map for future editions of the Code. The online conference was part of Work Package 5 of the Innovative Partnership for Action Against Cancer (iPAAC), the third European Commission Joint Action on Cancer.

A meeting covering a wider range of topics was scheduled to take place at IARC on the same dates but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
