China Launches First National Cosmetic Safety Public Awareness Week (Video)

Takehome - China launched its First National Cosmetic Safety Public Awareness Week. Chinese government debuted a new APP which enables consumers to check whether a beauty product is registered/filed and file complaints.

In recent years, cosmetics safety has become a major concern for consumers in China. NMPA has made a series of attempts to rectify issues in the cosmetics market and improve public awareness of cosmetics safety. On 20th May, National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) launched the First National Cosmetic Safety Public Awareness Week which will become an annual occurrence beginning in late May each year.
