The European Commission is considering a draft Delegated Regulation to amend Regulation (EU) 2019/1021, which addresses persistent organic pollutants (POPs). This amendment includes adding methoxychlor to the list of regulated substances in Annex I, following its inclusion in Annex A of the Stockholm Convention during the eleventh meeting of the Conference of the Parties in May 2023.
Methoxychlor is an organochlorine compound used primarily as an insecticide.
