Barbados | Ban on single-use plastic containers and cutlery

Single-Use Plastic Containers and Cutlery - The ban on the importation of single-use plastic containers and cutlery into Barbados has been deferred from its initial date of coming into effect, 1 April 2019, to 1 July 2019. However, as of July, an import licence from the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and the Blue Economy (MMABE) is required for single-use plastic containers and cutlery deemed environmentally friendly.
