Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection | Amendments to the Single Window Environment for Customs

IMCO will consider on 12 July amendments to the draft report on a Customs Single Window as well as early version of the compromise amendments.

115 tabled amendments aiming at better framing the functions of the Single Window and its interlinking with the source systems, with particular concern to the way in which the treatment of data should be done. Even though Members have expressed different views as concerns the concrete systems that should be part of the Single Window environment, as well as on the temporary horizon by which their use should be made compulsory, the rapporteur has presented broad compromises incorporating most of the amendments tabled.
