Opinions open for comments
The opinions in this section have been developed by the SCCS on the basis of a specific set of data (dossier) submitted by an applicant (e.g. Industry, Member State authorities, etc) in order to satisfy specific regulatory requirements (e.g. Directive 76/768/EEC, Directive 2009/48/EC, etc). The opinions have been approved for adoption by the SCCS in its most recent plenary meeting and are now open for comments by applicants, national authorities and other interested parties for a period of four weeks after publication (the exact deadline is given for each opinion). The intent of this commenting period is for applicants and other interested parties to provide limited additional perspective and/or clarification on the evaluation, interpretation, and incorporation of the submitted specific data package in the SCCS opinion.
Comments received during this period will be submitted to SCCS and discussed in the next plenary meeting with the view to publish the adopted opinion. Comments should be sent to the following mailbox: Sanco-SCCS-Secretariat AT ec.europa.eu
Please note that, according to the Rules of Procedure of the Scientific Committees, the opinions of the Scientific Committees on a particular subject will be considered closed and not subject to revision for a period of 3 years. Therefore, in order to most efficiently process its workload and manage its resources, the Commission does not plan to reopen a respective issue following the commenting period and the publication of the opinion.
