This initiative will develop stricter emission standards (Euro 7) for all combustion-engine cars, vans, lorries and buses. To ensure that vehicles on EU roads are clean over their whole lifetime, the proposed rules will consider new vehicle technologies and ensure real-time measurement of emissions.
