Context: For years our NGOs have warned of the State's shortcomings in terms of protection of residents and workers subjected to pesticide spraying. This pressure led to the adoption of article 83 during the Food General Assembly in 2017, which introduces the obligation to take safety measures for residents and the adoption of charters of commitments. The regulatory texts promulgated in 2019 being too weak and the resulting charters totally unacceptable, our NGOs have lodged successful appeals to both the Constitutional Council and the Council of State. These two instances gave us some reason, again forcing the State to review its copy. These are the texts that are now subject to public consultation until January 11, 2022.
