China Launches 'Reborn' Textile Traceability Platform to Promote Sustainable, Green Fibre Products

China has launched a new platform called 'Reborn - China Fibre Zero Carbon Action 2023 — Sustainable Textiles Credible Platform' to boost sustainability in its textiles and apparel industry, with a focus on traceability. The platform allows consumers to trace the entire process of green fibre products from fibre to end-products, ensuring transparency and credibility, and encouraging their use and consumption. The platform aligns with China's 'dual carbon strategy', which aims to peak carbon emissions before 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality before 2060. The platform will be supervised by the Department of Consumer Goods Industry and jointly run by the China Chemical Fibres Association and the National Advanced Functional Fiber Innovation Centre.
