The Registry of SVHC intentions until outcome has been updated with the intention from Austria to identify bis(4-chlorophenyl) sulphone as a Substance of Very High Concern due to its persistent and bioaccumulative properties. The dossier containing the proposal is expected to be submitted on the 19th of January 2023.
Among other uses, bis(4-chlorophenyl) sulphone is used in manufacturing plastics and rubber products.
