The Minutes of the SCCS 15th plenary meeting includes the following items:

New mandate(s)

(*) Four new mandates for endocrine disrupting (ED) substances from Group A (4-Methylbenzylidene camphor/4-MBC, Butylated Hydroxytoluene/ BHT, Kojic acid, Genistein and Daidzein)

(*) A new mandate for the revision of the Vitamin A Opinion

(*) SCHEER asked the SCCS for an additional representative in their new WG on TiO2 in toys. The SCCS agreed.

Draft opinions

(*) Nanomaterials in cosmetic ingredients

(*) Hydroxyapatite (nano) – submission II

(*) Gold (nano) -Colloidal Gold (nano) [, Gold Thioethylamino Hyaluronic Acid (nano) and Acetyl heptapeptide-9, Colloidal gold (nano)

(*) Platinum (nano)

(*) Colloidal Platinum (nano) 

(*) Acetyl tetrapeptide-17

(*) Colloidal Platinum (nano)

Cosmetic Ingredients (*) Methyl salicylate (methyl 2-hydroxybenzoate). Tasks have been allocated to the members and a revised version of the draft preliminary Opinion will be discussed at the next April WG meeting.

(*) C054 hair dye. The Applicant sent additional study to the SCCS that is still under assessment. Tasks have been allocated to the members and a revised version of the draft preliminary Opinion will be discussed at the next April WG meeting.

(*) Prostaglandin and analogues. Relevant data are lacking. A draft preliminary Opinion will be discussed at the next WG meeting.

(*) Formadehyde releasers. A first draft of the preliminary Advice will be prepared for discussion at the next April WG meeting.
