The Minutes of the 23rd meeting of the working group on BPA Reevaluation- subgroup on woe, Hazard characterisation and Uncertainty analysis includes the following scientific topic for discussion: 

Re-evaluation of the risks to public health related to the presence of bisphenol A (BPA) in foodstuffs and protocol for the risk assessment strategy (EFSA-Q-2016-00635)

The approach for weighing the evidence from animal studies was re-discussed and relevant changes were proposed. The integration of the evidence from animal and human studies was also discussed. For this purpose, the example on cardiotoxicity was analysed and discussed.

Feedbacks from other units’ experience in the weight of the evidence and data integration was provided by EFSA colleagues.

The next steps of the project were presented and in view of the next WG meeting the experts were assigned with new tasks.
