Bahrain Amendments as regards standardisation

Standardisation

Goods to be imported into Bahrain must conform to the applied Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) standards. These especially concern cars, car batteries and tyres. For further details, please refer to the corresponding section below. The Bahrain Standards and Metrology Directorate (BSMD), which comes under the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, holds a membership in the GCC Standardization Organization (GSO). The GCC Standardization Organization (GSO) works in close cooperation with the national GCC standardisation authorities.
