Review of the waste shipment EU regulation: Open Consultation

The European Commission is inviting all citizens and the wider community of stakeholders to express their views in a consultation on Waste shipments – revision of EU rules before 30 July 2020 (midnight CEST). 

The consultation aims to gather information and views on the options to review the current legal framework on waste shipments. It will gather both general views from the public on the challenges related to the shipment of waste and more detailed information and opinions from involved national authorities, experts and private actors. Relevant evidence is expected to be gathered in the form of views and opinions, supported, as far as possible, by facts and figures. Consultation questions seek input that goes beyond the materials already available as part of Commission implementation and evaluation reports.
