ECHA Board of Appeal | Announcement of Appeal by Evonik Operations GmbH Against Decision of the European Chemicals Agency

Evonik Operations GmbH, a chemical company based in Germany, has filed an appeal against the decision of the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) regarding the registration of the substance  2,4,6-tris(dimethylaminomethyl)phenol. The ECHA had previously required the company to provide information on an extended one-generation reproductive toxicity study under Section 8.7.3 of Annex X, which the company had carried out and provided a summary of. However, the ECHA declared that the study was not sufficient and that the company still needed to provide additional information. Evonik Operations GmbH is now seeking to annul the contested decision and request a refund of the appeal fee.
