EFSA | Integration of New Approach Methodologies results in chemical risk assessments: Case studies addressing nanoscale considerations

The integration of data from application of New Approach Methodologies in chemical risk assessments (NAMs data integration) has been prioritised as one of the first projects to be implemented under the EFSA roadmap for NAMs. Based on the outcome of the roadmap, the need for advancing in the work area of data integration approaches was considered critical for the successful application of Next Generation Risk Assessment (NGRA) through the use of NAMs. The data integration area was prioritised taking into account a number of criteria such as the regulatory readiness within the work area, and the potential impact in facilitating the routine use of NAMs in risk assessments.
