SCCS - Minutes of the Working Group meeting on Nanomaterials in Cosmetic Products of 5 December 2023

1. Welcome and apologies, approval of the agenda and declaration of interests

The Chair welcomed the participants. There was no apology. The agenda was adopted without changes.

The minutes of the previous meeting were endorsed by written process by the WG members and published on the website: https://health.ec.europa.eu/scientificcommittees/scientific-committee-consumer-safety-sccs/sccs-minutes-working-groups2022-2026_en

The Chair invited participants to declare any interest regarding matters on the agenda. None of the participants declared any interest conflicting with the matters on the agenda.

2. List of points discussed

• three coatings for TiO2 (nano) used as UV filter. A letter to the Applicant will be prepared to ask for clarifications.

• Hydroxyapatite-HAP (nano) - submission IV. First draft of the opinion presented and discussed. It will be followed up at the next meeting
