Indonesia | The New Era of Biofuels, Indonesia is Ready to Implement B35

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) through the Directorate General of New, Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (EBTKE) has completed a series of B35 trials, namely a mixture of 35% biodiesel in diesel oil which is ready to be implemented nationally starting February 1, 2023, tomorrow .

The government is optimistic that the B35 program can reap positive responses like its predecessor program, namely B30 in various aspects of economic, social and environmental indicators. As stated by the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources at the press conference on the achievements of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (30/1), B35 can reduce diesel imports and is projected to save up to Rp. CO2e.

"Implementation of B35 is one form of the government's commitment to overcoming the climate crisis by significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions, namely accelerating energy that is inclusive, clean, sustainable and encouraging investment to achieve Net Zero Emissions," said the Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Airlangga Hartarto, opening Talkshow Energy Corner Special-B35 Implementation "B35 for Energy Resilience and Independence Towards an Equitable and Equitable Energy Transition" in Jakarta (31/1).
