As revealed by MHLW announcement issued on June 6, 2019, 8 food additives were granted usage approval in Japan, including argon, isobutylamine, sec-butylamine, propylamine, hexylamine, amylamine and 2-methylbutylamine.
"Food and Additives Specification Standard" specifies usage requirements and that there is no restriction on application of argon, while the other 7 food additives can only be used as organic solvent for fragrance improvement.
