Turkey | Regulation Concerning The Subjection Of Wooden Package Materials To Heat Treatment Process And Their Marking

In an effort to prevent the spread of harmful pest organisms, proposed a new regulation concerning the heat treatment and marking of wooden package materials. The regulation covers principles for heat treatment application, ISPM 15 marking, traceability marking, issuance of permit certificates, and inspection responsibilities for businesses. It also includes a security hologram application, and as of June 30, 2024, countries exporting products to Turkey will be required to include information on the wooden packaging materials used with the product on the invoice or attach the heat treatment graph/printout/report of the heat treatment application of the ISPM 15 mark on the wooden packaging material to the invoice. This measure is being implemented to ensure the safety and purity of imported goods in Turkey.
