France intends to restrict disposable baby diapers containing certain substances | Call for evidences
Details on the scope of restriction - Restriction on the placing on the market of disposable baby diapers containing the following chemical/chemical groups, such as PAHs, Formaldehyde, dioxins, furans, PCBs, ...
Reason for restriction - The dossier submitters' starting point is the identification of substances of concern that may be present in disposable baby diapers.
Remarks - Stakeholders are requested to provide any information relevant to the Dossier Submitter during the Annex XV Restriction Dossier process, either in any call for evidence or separately during the process. This information will be used, amongst other issues, to determine if any derogations are required for the potential restriction as these cannot be proposed without adequate risk and socio-economic information. If a derogation is not proposed by the Dossier Submitter then it will be incumbent on the relevant stakeholders to do so during any public consultation process with a full risk and socio-economic justification accompanying it.
Expected date of submission: 09/10/2020
Start of Call for Evidence public consultation 15/01/2020
Deadline for comments on the Call for Evidence 31/03/2020
