This Ecuadorian technical regulation establishes the requirements to be fulfilled by mercury, sodium and metal halide lamps intended for lighting in general, prior to the commercialization of domestic and imported products, with the purpose of protecting the safety of people ; as well as preventing practices that may be misleading. This technical regulation applies to the following products: High pressure mercury vapor lamps High pressure sodium vapor lamps Low pressure sodium vapor lamps Metal halide lamps.
