Description

This Ecuadorian technical regulation establishes the requirements that must be met by plastic materials and articles destined to be in contact with food, prior to the commercialization of national and imported products, with the purpose of protecting the health of people; as well as preventing practices that may be misleading. Applies to the following products: Plastic materials and articles intended to be in contact with food. This technical regulation does not apply to: Silicone articles. Rubber articles Flexible plastic containers for commercial sterilization of food. Plastic baby bottles Straws (sorbets) feeding nozzles, learning nozzles, learning spoons and cups for liquid feeding.
